The Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) is the first international purpose-built convention centre in Sarawak, Malaysia. Growing alongside Sarawak’s position as a captivating culture, adventure and nature destination on the exotic island of Borneo, the BCCK debuted in 2009, as a state initiative of the Sarawak Government to grow business tourism through the hosting of business events. The centre has received local, national and regional accolades from professional standards, innovation and best practices achieved within Malaysia’s business events industry, and for having the size and capabilities to handle the requirements of different conferences in a bespoke manner.
Chief Executive Officer
The Chief Executive Officer, Mr Eric van Piggelen, leads the management team with support from the Owners, Board of Directors, Senior Management and Staff of BCCK
Chief Financial Officer
Chief Financial Officer, Mr Joseph Chung who is accountable for financial management and financial reporting integrity of the Company's finances and also oversees the ICT department.
Director of Sales & Marketing
Director of Sales & Marketing, Ms Premala Danapakiam, who is responsible for revenue generation, research and business development, sales and marketing, and corporate communications (including advertising and promotion).
Director of Facilities
Director of Facilities, Mr. Christopher Wan who leads the Central Procurement, Building and Facilities Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Special Projects teams. He heads the ISO 9001, 14001, 22000 (IMS) and AIPC Gold standards with a cross function team to improve the overall customer satisfaction index.
Director of Human Resource
The Director of Human Resource, Mr. Ahmad Rizal is responsible for the strategic planning as well as the day-to-day human resource functions throughout all departments in BCCK, providing consultation in employee hiring, training and staff quality-of-life betterment.
