In response to the increasing need for advanced hygiene practices, ATP swab testing has been integrated into our comprehensive cleaning and sanitization protocols. The process involves using a specialized swab to collect samples from surfaces, which are then analyzed with a portable luminometer to detect ATP, a molecule found in all living cells, including bacteria, mold, and other microorganisms.

Mr. Eric van Piggelen, CEO of BCCK, expressed his enthusiasm about the new initiative. "The health and safety of our guests and employees is our top priorities. The introduction of ATP swab testing as part of our hygiene monitoring program is a significant step towards maintaining the highest food safety standards in accordance with ISO 22000. This initiative reflects our commitment to excellence and innovation in food safety."

Adding to the CEO's statement, Mr. Christopher Wan, Director of Facilities, emphasized the organisation commitment to ATP swab testing. "We are dedicated to providing a safe and healthy environment for all our guests and staff. The introduction of ATP swab testing by the QA department is testament to our commitment to maintaining the highest hygiene standards, not just in the kitchens but the entire organization."

Mr. Alexander Chee, Quality Assurance Assistant Manager, noted, “The introduction of ATP swab testing helps us quickly identify and address hygiene concerns, reinforcing our commitment to exceptional cleanliness and aligning with ISO 22000 standards for enhanced food safety.”

Ms. Nur Azziani Abdul Sallih, Quality Assurance Executive, added, “This initiative improves hygiene standards, demonstrates our dedication to innovation and excellence, and simplifies hygiene monitoring. The simplicity and speed of the portable luminometer also reduces labor costs by minimizing the need for specialized personnel and extensive lab work. Frequent and rapid hygiene checks enable proactive contamination control, lowering the risk of costly contamination issues and product recalls.”

The implementation of ATP swab testing at BCCK highlights our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety in accordance with ISO 22000. This advanced technology ensures a clean and safe environment for our guests while enhancing operational efficiency and service quality, supporting events of all sizes, from international conferences to local gatherings.
