Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) proudly announces the appointment of Ms. Premala Danapakiam, BCCK’s Director of Sales and Marketing, as the Regional Chair of the Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organizers and Suppliers (MACEOS) for the 2024-2026 term.
In her new role, Premala will collaborate closely with MACEOS President, Datuk Dr. M Gandhi, and Honorary Secretary, Mr. Lee Mark, to spearhead initiatives within the Sarawak Chapter, including educational programs in partnership with Ms. Mona Manap, MACEOS Vice President of Education, and collaboration with BESarawak for the benefit of regional MACEOS members.
Premala stated, "On behalf of BCCK, I extend our heartfelt thanks to Mdm Gracie Giekie of Place Borneo, our outgoing Chairperson and former Regional Chair for MACEOS Sarawak, for her dedication and endless support. Her role in MACEOS has been instrumental in solidifying Sarawak’s role as a business events hub within Malaysia.”
Mr. Eric van Piggelen, CEO of BCCK expressed his heartfelt congratulations and support on this appointment. “We are excited about Premala’s nomination as a representative for BCCK, for the Regional Chair of MACEOS. Additionally, several BCCK team members—Eric Chuo, Lim Jing Qi, Julia Stephen, Khairool Azhar, and Jessica Sim— have achieved the Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) certification. This underscores BCCK’s commitment to excellence in event planning and management, with a total of 13 staff members now certified.
