BCCK PROUDLY EARNS AIPC QUALITY STANDARS RE-CERTIFICATION AT GOLD LEVEL

Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) is proud to announce its successful re-certification at the Gold Level under the prestigious AIPC Quality Standards program, with the successful completion of their audit this month by the designated external auditor.

Having their first Gold Level certification back in 2018, BCCK now has joined more than 30 AIPC centres who have successfully maintained this international certification. This milestone showcases the Centre’s dedication to upholding and enhancing its service quality in meeting and exceed international standards. The re-certification process involved a rigorous assessment, including comprehensive audits and evaluations, to ensure that BCCK continues to operate at the highest level of excellence.

BCCK’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Eric van Piggelen expressed his pride in this achievement, stating, "Achieving the AIPC Quality Standards Re-Certification at the Gold Level is a testament to the relentless efforts of our entire team. It highlights our commitment to delivering outstanding service, operational efficiency, and sustainable practices that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders. This accomplishment reinforces BCCK’s position as a leading convention centre, not only in Malaysia but globally."

BCCK’s continuous pursuit of excellence is evident in its adherence to international best practices and its proactive approach to quality management. The AIPC Quality Standards provide a framework that supports BCCK’s strategic objectives, ensuring that all aspects of its operations are aligned with the expectations of a dynamic and competitive market.

Adding to CEO’s statement, Director of Facilities, Mr. Christopher Wan mentioned about BCCK’s commitment to environmental sustainability in achieving the AIPC Quality Standards Certification in Gold Level. “BCCK’s commitment to environmental sustainability is also a key factor in achieving the Gold Level re-certification. The Centre has implemented various green initiatives aimed at reducing its carbon footprint, conserving resources, and promoting sustainable practices within the industry.”

“This includes energy-efficient infrastructure, waste management programs, and efforts to source materials and services locally, thereby supporting the regional economy,” he added more.
